In their annual Volunteer Edition, the Jackson Hole News & Guide features four Alumnae of Womentum’s Womentoring program: mentor Katharine Conover and mentee Melissa Turley from the pilot 2007 cohort, as well as mentor Sarah Kraemer and mentee Miki O’Connell from the 2024 cohort. Turley continued with Womentum as their Program Director for years and is now an Emerita Board member, while Kraemer and O’Connell are currently on the Board of Directors.
Told from their perspectives, the story highlights how Womentoring creates meaningful connections between women in our community, where both mentors and mentees grow through shared experience, perspective, and support.
The article acknowledges that the ‘ripple effect’ of enabling community members’ growth enhances whole community.
Womentum’s 9-month Womentoring program pairs emerging and established leaders and brings them together through workshops, small group dinners, and one-on-one conversations designed to build skills, confidence, and lasting relationships.
Please note, that given the depth of commitment and extensive interest in Womentoring, we prioritize applicants who have engaged with Womentum by attending at least one event. Doing so helps ensure mutual alignment and sets the foundation for a successful nine-month experience.
