Titled Embracing Our Roots, Together We Rise and immediately following the culmination of an unprecedented election season, the 8th annual Summit is the perfect opportunity for our community to reconnect, grow, and be inspired. Join us the evening of Thursday, November 7 and all day Friday, November 8, 2024 at The Center for the Arts or via livestream.

This year’s theme emphasizes impactful narratives, workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to equip participants with new skills, inspiration, and a revitalized sense of purpose and direction.
Author and story-telling expert Carrie Klewin Lawrence will lead attendees through a series of interactive exercises and examples from her book Origin Story to uncover their basic elements and craft their own unique story.
“We have the key to unlock our origin stories. Take a look around your life and you will find the evidence of who you really are. Once you have clarity about what makes you TRULY original, your Origin Story will become a powerful secret weapon to use against imposter syndrome. You will gain the ability to see the past with a new perspective and discover possibilities for the future. It all starts with connecting to your Origin Story.”
Through her workshop, attendees will gain an understanding of their journey by contemplating where they have come from, where they are currently, and what goals they have for the future. Participants will be inspired to reconnect with what brings them joy, remember who they are at the core, and set out on a new path to realize their dreams.
Attendees will receive Klewin-Lawrence’s yet-to-be-released Origin Story Inspirational Journal that has exercises and prompts to light your spark and rewrite your(self) narrative. We use use the journals as part of the interactive workshop.
