2022 Womentum Leadership Summit Presenter: Wyoming Senator Affie Ellis

For Affie Ellis, being “in the arena” meant pursuing public office — and as a Navajo woman, she holds the distinction of being the first indigenous woman to serve in the Wyoming Legislature.
As part of the 2022 Womentum Leadership Summit, “Got Moxie? Developing Strength, Courage & Resilience,” Ellis will speak about journey, from her humble background growing up in Jackson Hole where she helped her mom clean motel rooms on the weekends, to serving in the Wyoming Senate where women hold only five of 30 seats.
Affie will share her stories of success and failure to encourage women to take a chance in their arenas, so that their place will not be “with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
Other speakers include Thursday evening Keynote Lindsay Moran, a former CIA operative, Friday morning Keynote Bonnie Wan, creator of “The Life Brief,” and a presentation and performance by Jasmine Pickner Bell, a two-time champion hoop dancer.
